Mental Health Awareness
Mental health, let's bring this taboo subject out into the open. The first thing to say is that mental health problems are common. Much of what we see as GPs is related to mental health, so never be ashamed to ask us for help or advice. The hard part that people find is admitting that there really is a problem. So we have produced a newsletter to inform you about mental health awareness and direct you to sources that can help you.
But please, we would rather see you and talk to you face to face.
Otherwise have a read of the articles below for some background information.
Do remember that Medicare gives you easy access to seeing a psychologist through a Mental Health Care Plan. Make a booking, to see our GPs to discuss this in more detail, by clicking the button below.

Exercise is proven to benefit your mental health. Regular exercise makes you feel physically good which makes you feel mentally good. But if you set yourself a target, such as running 5km and then you reach your target, you develop mental toughness. This prepares you for the challenges that life may throw at you. Read more about the benefits of running 5km and set yourself a target.
