General Information
This app gives the general public access to a hearing screener to check their hearing status and monitor it over time. 

Health Claims/Benefits 
  • In order to ensure that hearing loss is noticed as early as possible, all people should check their hearing from time to time, especially those who are at a higher risk of hearing loss.
  • They include people who often listen to loud music, work in noisy places, use medicines that are harmful to hearing, or who are above 60 years old.
  • The World Health organisation (WH0) have developed this app to screen your hearing.
  • The easy to use app clearly displays the users’ results and keeps a personalised track record of their hearing status over time.

Warnings
  • This app offers a ‘digits-in-noise’ test that has a sensitivity and specificity of over 85%.* However, WHO and the developers of this app cannot be held responsible or liable for any incorrect results.
  • hearWHO is intended for use by people 18 years of age and above.
  • This version of the hearWHO app is not for use for hearing checks for children, as it will not provide reliable results
